Undergraduate Admissions

Undergraduate Admissions

Undergraduate admissions at Georgia Tech are handled through the Office of Undergraduate Admissions. The same set of standards is applied to all undergraduate applicants for admission to Georgia Tech, regardless of major. Since the applicant pool changes each year, so do the standards.

Admissions Requirements

Admission decisions are based on a combination of factors, including academic GPA, test scores (SAT I or ACT), leadership record, and personal statement. Undergraduate admission decisions are not made by the College of Design or the School of Building Construction.

A portfolio is not a requirement for admission to the undergraduate program in building construction at Georgia Tech.

This STEM-designated program is the perfect major for students who prefer the practical and tangible aspects of the built environment. The Bachelor of Science in Construction Science and Management teaches students a complete understanding of built environment design and construction processes from the construction contractors, owners, and facility managers' perspective.

As of Spring 2024, the Bachelor of Science in Building Construction (BSBC) is now the Bachelor of Science in Construction Science and Management (BSCNSM).
This change reflects our dedication to staying in step with the construction industry and maintaining the rigorous academic standards of our Building Construction studies.
