Steven Kangisser
Instructor and Ph.D. Student
Steven Kangisser is an instructor and a Ph.D. student in the School of Building Construction. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science from the University of Kentucky and a master’s in city and Regional Planning from Clemson. Steven worked in various regional planning positions before entering construction management, where he served in several management roles, primarily related to heavy industrial and utility construction. His experience spans four decades and includes projects in the US and Mexico. As a Ph.D. student, Steven’s research focuses on emerging technologies, the opportunities they will afford the construction industry, and human factors considerations of the future construction workforce. He performs research related to drones, AR/VR, and laser scanning applications in construction.
