Digital Twin and Human-Building Interaction
(BIM & IoT)

We investigate data governance and interoperability between Building Information Modeling (BIM) and the Internet of Things (IoT) to support the development of digital twins of the built environment to monitor and continuously improve facility performance. In conjunction with digital twins, we deploy Agent-Based Modeling (ABM) as well as users’ feedback to understand and simulate human–building interactions, forecast user needs, and enhance the overall user experience.
