Scott is the Chief Operating Officer of Moeller Purcell Construction Company, a Design/Build construction firm based in Alpharetta, GA and holds general contractor licenses in Georgia, Virginia and Florida. He is Co-Chair of the School of Building Construction Industry Advisory Board and serves as a Visiting Team member for the American Council of Construction Education (ACCE), the accreditation agency for the Schools of Construction. He has served on the Georgia Tech Alumni Association Board of Trustees and Executive Board and was the Alumni representative on the Strategic Planning Committee that developed the Grand Challenges Living/Learning Community at Georgia Tech.  Scott received his Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering degree from Georgia Tech in 1989.
 
Scott has been a part-time Lecturer at Georgia Tech since 2022.
